A few days ago, I went to a beauty salon and cut off my waist-length hair into a short/medium-length lob. Getting rid of my split ends, that was really great, and I love my hairstyle---it’s chic, fun and simple to work with, and it look more healthier. My main problem is that my hair is layered now, and it is too short to do much styles.

Updos are difficult without 100 bobby pins, buns are almost impossible, and even my ponytails look stubby. But the worst thing is that I won’t be able to do much more braiding hairstyles for shoulder length hair than for my long hair. I love braided hairstyles, but they don’t usually mix with short hair. But I still manage to work out a few simple and cute hairstyles for short hair. Follow me!

This is a fashionable hairstyle that is suitable for any hair length, even if you have a bob. It’s great for when you want to keep the hair out of the face or want to hide your second day hair. Here is how to do this easy hairstyles for short hair step by step:

Make a french braid going from the crown of your head, all the way down the back of your head and secure it with a hair elastic that matches your hair color. Fan out the braid for a little more volume.

Take a section of hair on the right side of your hair and wrap it around the back to hide the hair elastic. Secure with 1 or 2 bobby pins.

Repeat on the other side - wrap a section of hair around the elastic again and secure with some bobby pins.

You’ve done it! If you like some strands of hair left out at the front to frame your face shape, go ahead!

1. Create a middle part.

2. Take a small piece of the hair at the front of the face on your left side, and begin twisting towards your ear.

3. As you twist, add small sections of hair along the hairline.

4. Once you reach the back, secure these pieces with some bobby pins.

5. Keep this hairstyle neatly twisted or pull on the hair a little bit and leave out framing sections at the front.

You can also do two layers of twists to give it an even more creative spin, like this:
